Planning your garden each season and keeping track of how it performs is vital to making improvements each year. How many times have you thought, “I will definitely remember that I did this,” or “I forgot to start my seeds earlier this year,” or “I need to remember…”? However, we often forget.
We lose the scrap of paper on which we jotted that reminder. We forget to enter it into our calendar app once we get to our phone or computer. I’ve tried several gardening planners over the years that have been beautiful but not quite as functional as I needed so I decided to make my own.

My garden planner now has 12 planning pages and 4 checklists. I’m still designing more pages but for now I’d like to offer a few of the planning pages to my subscribers. You can get a free preview version of my garden planner with the monthly calendar, seed starting chart, planning grid and final plant list.
Organize Your Garden Plan
- Keep track of your monthly and yearly tasks with the Monthly Calendar.
- Plan which seedlings you’ll be starting with the Seed Starting Chart.
- Map out where you’re going to plant everything with the Planning Grid.
- Once everything is planted, organize your plants in the Final Plant List to easily see which varieties you’re growing and when harvests are expected to begin.
I’ve also included detailed instructions and suggestions for each sheet which is especially helpful for new gardeners. Print off as many pages as you need for your garden. Keep them in a binder so it’s easy to look back at what you’ve done and plan for the coming season.
The full version of the Garden Planner is now available! It has 22 pages to help you plan and track all phases of growing food in your garden…plus detailed instructions. It’s great for beginning and experienced gardeners.
